This program is designed for Freshmen and Sophomores in High School but Juniors and Seniors can also register.
About Confirmation
What is Confirmation?
Confirmation is one of the sacraments of initiation. Confirmation is linked to the Sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist. Together, all three are called the Sacraments of Initiation. In the words of the Catechism, these sacraments “lay the foundations of every Christian life.” (CCC#1212)
Confirmation is the completion of Baptism and the sacrament by which the baptized faithful are anointed with chrism and sealed with the Spirit by the laying on of hands. The grace received is the fullness of the Holy Spirit and his gifts. (CCC#1285-1321)
Confirmation Year 1: 1st & 3rd Sundays
Confirmation Year 1 (High School Youth Ministry) is open to teens grades 9th - 11th and meets on most 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm in the CTK Main Hall, including attending the 4 pm Sunday mass.
- The Parent/Candidate Orientation Meeting is August 16, 2026, in the CTK Main Hall from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
Confirmation Year 2: 2nd & 4th Sundays
Confirmation Year 2 (Sacrament Year) is open to teens in grades 10th - 12th and meets on most 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month in the CTK Main Hall, with attendance at the Sunday 4:00 pm Mass, followed by a session from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm.
Only teens who have completed the Confirmation Year 1 (High School Youth Ministry) program are allowed to register for the Confirmation Year 2 program.
Our robust ministry includes the following special experiences:
o Sponsor/Candidate Sessions: allow for the entire family to grow in faith together. Sessions include sharing and sponsor breakouts.
o Weekend Retreat: With a weekend away from their day-to-day distractions candidates focus on strengthening their relationship with Jesus. (additional fee applies).
o Service & Social Experiences: Opportunities for impactful service and social bonding throughout the year so candidates continue Christ’s work as a community.
Our uniquely designed 2-year Confirmation Preparation Program is designed to lead youth closer to Christ.
